VidCo — Standards for videos, reels, stories, reviews and community conduct

Effective date: 2 August 2026 Last updated: 2 August 2026

Operated by: RAPIDSELL SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED

1. Purpose and Scope

VidCo is a video-first marketplace where Merchants and Users share product videos, reels, time-limited stories, reviews and other Content. These Content & Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") set the standards for all Content and conduct on the VidCo platform, including the VidCo mobile applications (customer, merchant and delivery-partner apps) and any associated websites (collectively, the "Platform"), and apply to Buyers, Merchants and all Users. They form part of the Terms of Service.

2. Core Principles

  • Be authentic: represent products, prices and yourself truthfully.
  • Be respectful: treat other Users, Merchants and staff with courtesy.
  • Be lawful: comply with applicable law and these Guidelines.
  • Be safe: do not post content that harms or endangers others.

3. Acceptable Content

Content should be relevant to commerce on the Platform, such as genuine product showcases, demonstrations, how-to and tutorial videos, honest reviews, and store updates. Content must be your own or content you are authorised to use.

  • AI-generated content remains the responsibility of the user.
  • AI content must not misrepresent products.
  • AI-generated people or voices must not impersonate real individuals without authorization.
  • Deepfakes intended to deceive are prohibited.
  • AI-generated reviews are prohibited.

4. Prohibited Content

You must not post, upload or transmit Content that:

  • is sexually explicit, pornographic, or contains nudity or child sexual abuse material;
  • is hateful, harassing, threatening, or promotes discrimination or violence against any person or group;
  • depicts or promotes self-harm, dangerous acts, or illegal activity;
  • is defamatory, obscene, vulgar or invasive of another's privacy;
  • is false, misleading or deceptive, including misinformation and misleading product or health claims;
  • infringes intellectual property, including unauthorised use of music, trademarks, images or videos;
  • promotes or facilitates the sale of items listed in the Prohibited Items Policy;
  • contains spam, scams, malware, phishing, or unsolicited promotions; or
  • impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents an affiliation.

5. Commercial Content and Authenticity

  • Product claims must be accurate and substantiated; do not exaggerate, fabricate or omit material information.
  • Pricing, offers and discounts shown in Content must be genuine and honoured.
  • Sponsored or paid partnerships must be disclosed as required by applicable advertising and consumer-protection rules.
  • Do not use bait-and-switch tactics or misrepresent availability.

6. Video Commerce: Reels, Stories and Tutorials

Reels and stories are powerful discovery tools and carry the same responsibilities as any other Content.

  • Stories are time-limited and expire automatically (typically after 24 hours); expiry does not exempt them from these Guidelines while live.
  • Tutorials and how-to Content must be accurate and must not encourage unsafe or unlawful use of products.
  • Use only music and third-party materials you are licensed to use.

7. Reviews and Ratings Integrity

  • Reviews must reflect genuine, first-hand experience.
  • Do not post fake, incentivised or manipulated reviews or ratings, whether positive or negative.
  • Merchants must not solicit fake reviews, offer incentives in exchange for reviews, or post reviews of their own products.
  • Do not post reviews containing personal data, abuse or content unrelated to the product or service.

8. Community Conduct

In interactions on the Platform, including chats and comments, you must not harass, bully, threaten, dox or abuse any person, or engage in hate speech. Treat Delivery Partners, Merchants, Buyers and support staff with respect.

9. Intellectual Property

Only post Content you own or are authorised to use. Respect copyright, trademarks and other rights. We respond to valid infringement notices and may remove infringing Content and act against repeat infringers, in line with applicable law.

10. Reporting and Moderation

You can report Content or conduct that violates these Guidelines using the in-app reporting tools. We may review, moderate, restrict, age-gate or remove Content, and may use a combination of automated and human review. We are not obligated to monitor all Content but will act on valid reports and legal requirements.

11. Enforcement

Violations may result in actions proportionate to the severity and frequency of the breach, including:

  • removal or restriction of Content;
  • warnings and strikes;
  • loss of features, reduced visibility, or forfeiture of rewards obtained through abuse;
  • suspension or termination of your account; and
  • reporting to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities where required.

12. Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may appeal through the in-app support channel or by contacting support@vidco.in. We will review appeals fairly and respond within a reasonable time.

13. Grievance Mechanism

In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints about Content may be sent to our Grievance Officer at grievance@vidco.in. We will acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within the timelines prescribed by law.

Note: This document is a good-faith drafting template prepared for the VidCo product. It should be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel to reflect the final registered entity, commercial terms and applicable law before publication.
